Celebrate your birthday with a delicious Birthday Cake Shot

While many are celebrating Easter today, those of us who have birthdays this week are gearing up for a celebration of another kind. Our birthday celebration is a very personal holiday and the way we celebrate them varies quite a bit from person to person. It could be as simple as a special dinner at home with our family or something as elaborate as taking a limo out on the town for a night of drinks and dancing. No matter what your plans may be, this shot is a fun and tasty way for those of us who are of the legal drinking age to celebrate and let loose a little on our special day.

BIRTHDAY CAKE SHOT 
Ingredients

• 1/2 shot Frangelico 
• 1 shot vodka 
• 1 slice lemon 
• Colored sugar or nonpareils 

Directions
Run the lemon slice along the edge of a shot glass Dip the rim (and the lemon slice) in colored sugar or nonpareils Combine the Frangelico and vodka in the glass Shoot the drink then bite the lemon after

August 3rd is Grab Some Nuts Day

While it seems the rest of the foodie world is celebrating National Watermelon Day, a lesser known holiday is being shunned. Today is also "Grab Some Nuts Day". Go ahead, giggle. I did.
